Do you cover my area?

Fresh-Up Cleaning covers the Greater London area.

What cleaning services do you provide?

We provide a general cleaning service for homes and commercial properties.   Our service is tailored to your requirements.  Just let us know what you need – regular contract, one-off clean, windows, carpets, upholstery, ironing, end of tenancy, post building, after-party.

What are your rates?

Our fees are based on an hourly rate, from £12 per hour for domestic cleaning.  See the services pages for more information.

Do I need to pay extra if I want the cleaner to clean at the weekend?

No.  The rate of pay is the same, even at the weekend.

Are your cleaners insured?

Yes.  All of our cleaners are covered by our comprehensive public liability insurance.

Can I meet my cleaner first?

Yes.  It is a good practice to meet the cleaner and discuss your priorities.  We will arrange an initial meeting at your house at a convenient time for you.

Do I need to be at home during the cleaning process?

No.  It is not necessary.  Our cleaners are experienced and reliable; you can leave them to clean on their own in your house.

What do I need to provide?

Cleaning materials and equipment e.g. vacuum cleaner, bucket and mop and access to hot water and electricity.  For commercial cleaning, you have the option to provide your own cleaning chemicals, or use ours (extra charges apply).

What is the minimum number of hours required for a contract cleaner?

3 hours per visit.

What is the minimum number of hours required for a one-off clean?

4 hours per visit.

Who pays the cleaner?

Our company policy is that you pay us, and we pay the cleaner.  Using this system of payment avoids any penalties or claims by the Inland Revenue if you were to pay the cleaner direct.

Do I have to pay anything when I go away for a couple of days?

No.  You pay only when you use our cleaning service.  We require 24 hours’ notice before you go, the date of your last visit, and the date of your first cleaning when you return.

What happens if I do not need the cleaner for a longer period of time?

If you do not need the cleaner for a period of one month or more, we will freeze your account.  You can re-start your service whenever you wish to.

What happens if I move house?

We will transfer your account to your new address in the London area.

What will happen if my cleaner is off sick or on holiday?

If your regular cleaner is unable to come to you for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange temporary cover.
