Many people believe that it’s better to dust before hoovering.  It makes sense that you should disturb all the dust on your surfaces first, let it settle then hoover.  This is not strictly true.  The act of vacuuming kicks up a lot of dust that doesn’t get picked up and settles on surfaces.  It’s better to hoover first, let it settle, then dust with a microfiber cloth.
