Cleaning the London Eye

A Daily Mail report gave us a fascinating insight into the cleaning of the London Eye last week.  The iconic landmark is being spring cleaned for the very first time since it opened in 2000.

Hot pressure washers will be used to clean dirt and grime from the 440ft-high exterior.  Specialist technicians suspended on ropes will clean the Eye at nights.  It’s expected to take around 3 weeks, only 2 or 3 of the 32 pods can be cleaned each night.

The moment cleaning company have lots of experience – they’ve worked on the presidents at Mount Rushmore, and on Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.
