We are a Nation obsessed with cleaning, but are we really as clean as we think?  Dirty Britain is an ITV documentary series that explores the country’s dirt, litter and waste problems, and our attitudes towards cleaning.

The first season aired last May and covered landfill waste, sewer maintenance and domestic cleaning, following the people who do our ‘dirty work.’  This year producers have promised it will be even more shocking and revolting.

Portaloo cleaners reveal the dreadful secrets of their job.  A pest controller investigates a house in London with a sewer rat infestation.  Domestic cleaners tell-all about the habits of their clientele.  Watch the two part series on the 4th and 11th June, ITV 9pm.
