Slips and trips are the number one cause of workplace injuries in the UK.  Around 50% of incidents happen due to bad house-keeping at work.  This includes trips because of untidy work spaces and slips on wet floors during cleaning.

The Health & Safety Executive believes that floor cleaning is key in preventing many incidents.  Floors must be cleaned regularly to remove water, oil, food spillages and dust which often result in slips.  Extra care must be taken when cleaning floors.  Using the wrong products, or leaving flooring wet can be dangerous and steps must be taken to prevent risks.
