A recent survey has found that 46 per cent of couples who live together argue about the housework.  Common quarrels were how often it should be done, the best cleaning methods and of course, who should do it.  The figure is higher for those who have children; 55 per cent of couples with kids argue about the cleaning.

If chores are causing you problems, consider getting a professional cleaner to help.  Surely it’s not worth the arguments.  A word of warning though – when you do broach the subject with your significant other, make sure they don’t think you’re implying a lack of effort on their part.
